Appearance: Maebh's long thick hair is usually pulled behind her ears with the exception of a few strands that cover her right eye. Her hair reaches down toward the middle of her back quite unevenly. It is lacking in sheen and is full of split ends which she couldn't care less about. She has been tempted on more than one occasion to just chop it until it's short enough to be managed easily. If her hair is not pulled back then it is worn in breads, corn rows or just a low ponytail.

Her skin is light brown and often falls victim to her cousins Henna experiments; some days her arms will be completely covered in random forms and shapes that she'll have to live with until they fade away. Maebh's face is hear-shaped and her ears are small. Thankfully her forehead is small, just like her mothers.

Thick and mostly untouched eyebrows sit above a pair of large close-set bright brown eyes that are framed by long eyelashes. Her eyes are possibly the only 'striking' feature on her entire person. While her left eye does look normal, she is blind in her right one and it bears a large misshapen burn scar from an accident during her adolescent years. There are a few red blood vessels that can clearly be seen in the white of her eye. Some of the scarring extends past her forehead and into her scalp so some of her hair has not grown back in that particular area. Some of the scarring also extends to touch her jaw.

Maebh's button nose is short and beneath her nose are a pair of thick soft lips and a chin that bears a small scar from a few months ago (moshed right into the floor). Apart from her eyes there is nothing really interesting or standout-ish about her face. She's just your average young woman with a slightly fat head (that's what her brothers tell her anyway).

Her short neck leads down to broad shoulders and a large bust. Her muscular arms are accompanied by large square palms and long fingers. Her torso is short, her abs are well-defined and her hips are wide or 'child bearing' if you're her mother. Her legs are long and her ass doesn't look too bad either. Maebh could be considered tall for her age standing at the height of 6'2". Her family is full of tall people and if you exclude her mother, she is the shortest. She has never been sure about her weight (167) and she doesn't care enough to get an exact number.

The usual look that is worn on Maebh's face is one of general placidness. When aggravated enough her facial expression quickly turns into a twitching eyebrow, a pulsing vein in the middle of her forehead and a snarl that shows off pearly white teeth that will not hesitate to sink into skin.

Most of the shirts that she wears are tight fitting and have random phrases (mostly obscene) on them while her jeans fit rather loosely. Sadly the majority of her clothes are hand-me-downs from her older siblings. She only owns two pairs of shoes: big black clunky boots and a pair of tennis shoes.

Personality: Maebh can sometimes be a loudmouth which can prove to be slightly irritating. She is willing and able to readily express her usually unpopular opinion in not so nice words whether someone wants to hear it or not. It doesn't take much to set her off and it is quite apparent that she has some anger issues in need of being worked out. Even though she knows that it doesn't take much to set her off, it pisses her off even more that she can't seem to do a thing about it. When Maebh's patience is tried, she becomes quite harsh. Not being naturally tuned into other people's feelings has its disadvantages, one being that she doesn't believe that she has to tailor her judgements in consideration for others. She has difficultly seeing things from outside her own perspective and has little patience with people who do not see things the same way she does. In the absence of awareness Maebh will become an intimidating and overbearing individual.

Maebh is extremely territorial when it comes to food. If you get your hand or other appendages anywhere near her meal it will mostly certainly come back with a fork, straw or spoon sticking out of it. This was a defense mechanism that was instilled in her younger years in order to keep her brothers away from stealing her food. Many of them sustain scars from her teeth. The same thing might result if you get into her personal space OR she will just glare at you with all the hatred of an angry god. Being the 'rugged individualist' that she claims to be, she will more than likely solve things with her fists. Currently Maebh is attempting to work on her personal space issues. She's doing okay so far.

Despite her anger issues, ego and her loudness Maebh can be a nice person. She enjoys interaction with most people and she finds lively conversation about music, sports, art and food to be satisfying. She is quite capable of teamwork if convinces and once you've made friends with her you've got someone who probably won't hit you if you try to take food away from her plate. When it comes to her friends she can be aggressively protective of them. If you pick a fight with one of them then expect to get hell from her, or if they can fight their own battles you'll just get a few dirty looks.

Somewhere deep, deep down she holds some form of sentimentality (there is even a special shelf that holds all gifts from friends and family members), but she will likely hide it from general knowledge, feeling it to be a distraction from the bigger things at hand. Because non-angry fueled emotions are not where Maebh functions well she may lapse into hilarious awkwardness if confronted with feelings that she has deemed 'creepy' or just plain wrong (such as any sort of flirting).

Family: Aedammair and Ultan (44 and 45) (Mother and Father) - They brought her into this world and she's pretty sure that if they wanted to they could take her right back out. She loves and respects both of her parents and she would be pissed if someone were to put them in any danger. Aedemmair cleans houses and Ultan works as a manuscript translator.

Ardan (18) - Nicknamed Ardy. He is the youngest of Maebh's older brothers. The relationship between him and Maebh is still in the process of healing since he was the one that caused her half-blindness and she isn't the type to let things go so easily. Any conversation shared between them usually ends up with Maebh calling him a name. Maebh and Ardan attend to same school because he failed the fifth grade.

Desmond (20)- Dezzy. Maebh thinks that he is very pretty and probably should have been born a girl. He calls her every other weekend to check on her and buys her girly things just in case she would ever need them. She doesn't see that happening anytime soon but she appreciates the gesture. If they have spare time, they usually go fishing. Desmond goes to college and works on campus.

Finn (22)- Nicknamed Fish. He is an avid fan of wrestling and because of this Maebh has become an avid fan of wrestling. He's taught her many wrestling moves and when they had spare time during summers he would take her to wrestling matches. Finn goes to the same college as Desmond but avoids him like the plague.

Murtagh (23)- Nicknamed Murty. Maebh finds him to be a little too quiet. His weird behavior puts her off so he is the brother that she spends the least amount of time with. Every so often they will talk about random things. It is mostly him that walks into her room and initiates conversation. Murtagh is currently in Japan as an ALT in the JET programme.

Ultan Jr (25)- Nicknamed Fart Face. He is the oldest and most protective of all of his little brothers and little sister. He has adopted the 'You mess with my family, you mess with me' addage and practices saying it in the mirror sometimes. Maebh tends to find him a little overbearing and had she any suitors he would have probably scared them away already. Ultan is currently a grad student in Studio Art and makes frequent visits to the Tresaigh households.

Aisling and Abhey Subramanian (45 and 46) (Aunt[on her mothers side] and Uncle)- They act as the secondary care givers but aren't as overbearing as Maebh's actual mother and father. For a time Maebh referred to Aisling as her 'mommy'. The Subraminians live a few streets over from the Treasaighs.

Jessminder Subramanian (17)- Maebh has yet to give her older cousin a nickname because she likes saying the whole thing. Jessminder is about the only cousin that she gets along with, but she really hates it when Jessminder tries to set her up on dates. They attend the same school.

History: Maebh Daireann Ni Treasaigh was born June 29 in Blacrock, Dublin, Ireland in the home of Aedemmair and Ultan Ó Treasaigh*. She was born, unexpectedly, three days before her original due-date. Her birth was a difficult one that involved a lot of pushing, swearing, and damp wash clothes. It seemed that little Maebh wasn't quite ready to leave the womb just yet. Growing up in a household that mainly consisted of males (six men, two females), Maebh's mother decided to give up on the fight of turning her little girl into a fine, young woman with manners and class. She was very enthusiastic about it at first, she had planned it the day after her little girl was born. Aedammair wanted to start with lovely sun dresses and end with sipping tea by the fire on a cold, winters night. It was kind of sad that mother Aedammair got her hopes up.

It seemed that every time Maebh was allowed freedom to go and play outside with her brothers, she would almost always come back in with scraped knees' and elbows or a mud spot on her nice, new sun dress. Lovely. That certainly put a stop to her mother wasting money on dresses. From now on it would be cotton shirts and jeans, and of course, Maebh was very happy with the change in apparel. It gave her more freedom to run around, and she was able to keep up with her older brothers when they went on their escapades to the lake and other places.

Getting half of her face burned by one of her brothers who thought hair spray + lighter would equal an awesome idea and moving into an unfamiliar territory such as America was a HORRIBLE transition to turning ten years old. She didn't know much about American things and on top of that she had to wear a giant white bandage around her head and an eyepatch after it healed. Maebh now uses this event to get her brother to run errands for her ("Hey, do you remember that time you set my face on fire? Yeah.").

Maebh didn't start coming back into her old self until after she met her older cousin Jessminder. There were many times that she and her brothers would have to spend at their cousins house due to their parents working late into the night or being out of town. The two girls seemed to connect at their first meeting and Maebh began to feed off of her high-energized cousin, becoming a loud mouth once again. The two get along famously now that they are older but are still prone to getting into fights over the smallest things. The fight usually ends with Maebh sitting on her older cousin and claiming victory.

As the years have gone by Maebh has been fighting to keep what little Irish accent she has, but is losing horribly.

*the Ni in Maebh's last name denotes that she is female. The O only goes to the males in the family.

Neighborhood: 19 Burswood Rd - Prescott Maebh lives in a four bedroom house along with what is left of her family. When all of her family lived in the house two shared one bedroom, three shared another and she had her own room. She still has her own room but has switched to get the bigger one that has its own bathroom.

Job: Corner Bakery Café

Vehicle: An ugly turquoise van that has been spraypainted with graffiti on both sides. You have to slam the right sliding door with a lot of force to get it to stay closed. Even if it is slammed shut it will sometimes open without warning so it is always good to wear your seatbelt. It's nothing fancy but it gets her from point A to point B and her brother spraypainted and she thinks it's pretty.

Dating Status: Maebh has no time for dating despite what her cousin says. To tell the truth she is a bit scared and wouldn't know how to act around a 'boyfriend'. It's already enough that she is taller than most or all boys.

Social Status: Maebh pretty much exists somewhere in the middle to low ranks; she tends not to be overlooked, due both to her height and her temper, but she definitely hasn't endeared herself to a lot of her classmates.

Other Information: Maebh almost always wears her hair the exact same way, even if it's in a ponytail. The only exception is when her hair is braided back. It is only then that she will wear an actual eyepatch. She is also prone to air guitaring if she is listening to a particularly good song.

Likes: Volley Ball - It's what she does —What she feels that her body was made for —Why she feels that she has grown so tall — to kick the proverbial ass of all opposing Volley Ball teamsl! She plays hard, and usually ends up with bruises in various places because she hits the ball with almost every part of her body. Maebh was introduced to Volley Ball when she hit the tenth grade. It started out as a vague interest, something that she would play occasionally with some friends, but soon it turned into something she did daily until she eventually joined the Volley Ball team at her High School. She never serves the ball if she can avoid it. In gym practices she would end up hitting one of the lights on the ceiling or getting the balls stuck in the rafters. Flimsy poles are not very good for getting round objects unstuck from places.

Exercise - There's no other way to start your day off than to do a nice, 1 mile run around the block at the crack of dawn. Apart from Volley Ball, Maebh loves to exercise. It's one of the many ways she gets rid of her pent up aggression that accumulates rather quickly between dealing with people at school and at her job. Her routine includes running, sit-ups, push-ups, stomach crunches, and whatever other exercise routine that seems like it would be a lot of fun.

Cows - Oh my God, cows. There is just something about them that Maebh finds horribly adorable. She has no idea what draws her to them, but she knows that she likes them and if she sees a stuffed cow that looks especially cute, she absolutely must have it by her own money or someone else's money. If she's with a non family member, she'll tell them that she's buying it for a friend. The stuffed cow infatuation is another thing that Maebh doesn't really like to talk about. Here she is, a 6'2" Volley Ball player who is angry most of the time and she likes COWS. It wouldn't go over very well if the people she intimidated at school (not her fault!) Found out that she had a collection of stuffed cows on her bed.

Cooking - Everyone in her family knows how to cook, but they don't appear to know how to cook good food. The gift of cooking actual edible food only seems to be apparent in Maebh, her mother and one of her older brothers, Murtagh. Thus the rest of the family relies on them to make food that is both edible and delicious so they will not starve or die. Maebh has been cooking ever since she was thirteen, which isn't too long a time, but enough to learn what not to do around a hot stove. She tries to make a lot of different things with hard to pronounce names just to see how they will turn out. It's usually hit or miss with the hard to pronounce food names. By far, her favorite meals to prepare are foods that are somehow involved with pancakes. That's right, pancakes! She detests pancake mix, so she makes it all from scratch. Somehow the pancakes always come out lopsided, so she usually attempts at scooting the batter around in the frying pan until the pancake forms into real shapes. The only problem left is to have it retain its weird shape while flipping it. Because Maebh has grown up in such a large family, she tends to make more food than necessary and ends up bringing it to school to share with her friends.

Art - Maebh enjoys conceptual design. Usually she can be found in the garage making something out of a piece of metal that will resemble a food item or something completely abstract. Often she makes earrings for Jessminder.

Misc. Likes - Steamed Dumplings, broccoli, Irish sports, puppies, kittens, anime, heavy metal, rock n roll, bologna, dancing, video games, techno music, guitars, foreign music, dancing, Kung Fu movies , wrestling and fish.

Dislikes: There is just something about those bugs that puts Maebh on edge. Every other bug is cool, doesn't bother her because she never see's them anywhere, but damn those three. It doesn't help that she's aware that there are roaches that are huge and HISS. That doesn't help at all. And the fact that they make a loud popping noise when stepped just makes her want to cower in fear even more. They. Just. Keep. Coming. Back! Spiders, those eight legged — things. Ugh! Sure, they eat flies, but Maebh is quite aware that humans die from tiny spider bites every year and she'll be damned if she's one of those people, so twice a month she thoroughly checks her room for those little bugger's with a can of raid in one hand and a giant flip flop in the other. Ants are just — Evil. There are ants located in the Amazon rain forest that can take down a lion in only a matter of minutes. 'Nuff said.

Water - For the life of her, she just can't get into it. Maebh is a horrible swimmer and sinks like a rock, but she wouldn't go as far as to say that she's developed a phobia over it. She'll learn to swim eventually. Just not right now. There are more important things to do, like sleeping.

Misc. Dislikes - Noise, bright lights, turnips, onions, peppers, smoke detectors, smoke, birds, straw, math, fire.

Any extra-curricular non-school activity: When not working or hanging with Jessminder, Maebh is either studying or practicing playing her guitar in the basement.
