McKenzie Alexis Drew
-Played By Udcfa-
Nickname(s): Mac, Kenz, Kenzie
Age: 17
Grade: Senior
Birthday: October 6th
Appearance: Barely reaching 5'1"
and hardly tipping the scales at 100lbs, McKenzie is the epitome
of the gymnastic physique, always watching out for her weight
and muscle structure. Although she is slight in figure, she
has pretty powerful arms and legs and could probably outrun
most on the track team. Her regime is one of a future Olympian
hopeful with rigorous practices morning and night in order to
keep her body in tip top condition
Her, along with her twin brother Alistair, inherited their grandmother's
sparkling blue eyes and bright blond hair. She has a rather
simplistic beauty about her though, an aura that many find captivating
and addictive. Her smile is one that if you catch a glimpse
of it, you can't help but smile in return. McKenzie's laid-
back personality follows through into her style. Most often
than not you can find her in one of two things, her favorite
pair of flare jeans and Birkenstocks or her leotard and a pair
of yoga pants. You could say that her style is quite Bohemian-esque
although that doesn't say much as one day you'll find her in
a homespun sweater and the next in a American Eagle logo shirt.
She goes with her mood, which is generally up beat, and thus
shines through in her choice of apparel.
Personality: McKenzie is a fairly
outgoing, bubbly, happy-go-lucky type of person. . . most of
the time that is. For a girl who has so much going for her,
she tries hard to maintain her status, both on and off the mats.
No one ever has really questioned if that smile is truly genuine,
although behind closed doors she has often found herself crying
for no apparent reason. This, however, she admits to no one.
They'd just make her see someone about it and that she doesn't
want. Her life is full enough as it is, no sense in having people
worry needlessly about her.
She keeps a lot bottled up inside her and usually uses gymnastics
or dancing as an escape method. On the outside McKenzie seems
like the average, or even above average teenager, but on the
inside she's constantly battling herself. She's hard on herself,
much harder than anyone else would ever be, and when she makes
a mistake she's often doubly hard. You'd never know any of this
though as she's perfected the look of being content with life
for so long. She a perfectionist through and through which accounts
for her success on the mats and in the classroom.
McKenzie is, ultimately, the quintessential "good girl,"
always doing the right thing, getting good grades, excellent
athlete, and never really doing anything remotely against the
rules. While some days she would love to change that, forget
the rules and do whatever she felt like doing, she knows that
when she wakes up the next morning, the guilt and regret will
be eating at her for doing so. She's one people feel they can
trust, can turn to whenever they need help, because well that's
what McKenzie does, puts others needs first, sometimes in front
of her own, in an effort to...yes that's right...do the right
thing.
Family: The oldest daughter of
Dr. Christopher and Anna Drew, McKenzie has a very close knit
family even though they don't spend that much time together.
Her parents, although happily married for 20 years and former
high school sweethearts, are rarely home at the same time. Her
father, an OB/GYN who's schedule is never regular, tries to
spend as much time with his children as he can, but childbirth
is hardly easy to predict. Anna, her mother, is a successful
interior designer and owns her own company, Delta Designs. This
job often takes her out of town, whether it be to other towns
in Delta County or to Chicago, L.A, or New York.
The two grew up in Ridgefield, he was from an upper crust Laurelhurst-esque
family, and she was, well not, residing with her single mother
and her three brothers in a tiny two bedroom apartment in Greenwich.
While at first his parents didn't approve of the two dating,
they were soon overcome with Anna's good nature that they soon
accepted her into the family as one of their own. While Christopher
was off doing his residency in Green Bay, Anna took classes
at NMU, soon excelling in all of her interior design courese,
leading her to open up her own business, with her future in-laws
help of course. Once Christopher returned to Ridgefield, a degree
in hand and initials at the end of his name, he proposed marriage,
to which she accepted.
The outcome was more than they could've ever imagined. Fraternal
twins followed by a girl five years later. While they try not
to let it show too much, their oldest, McKenzie, is their pride
and joy, always has been and probably always will be.

Mr & Mrs Drew
History: McKenzie and her family,
as well as most of her relatives, have lived in Ridgefield all
of her life. At the early age of 3, her mother enrolled her
in dance and gymnastics, something that she herself was never
able to do. McKenzie loved both but gymnastics slowly dominated.
When she was 8, her parents found a coach in Green Bay, to which
they drove her to see three times a week and all day on Saturdays.
He was very hard on her, constantly berating her on her weight,
even though she was only a mere seventy pounds at the time he
began coaching her. He told her that if she didn't lose weight
she would never win. This didn't sit well with McKenzie, as
she is the ultimate perfectionist, and therefore she stopped
eating completely and, even when she did, she usually purged
herself. Two years past before anyone really took notice. It
was only until the unexpected happened, when she completely
passed out in the middle of a routine at Junior All-American
qualifying rounds. When her parents found out what her coach
had been saying to their daughter, they immediately fired him,
monitored their daughter's eating habits, and found a new coach.
For a while it was very touch and go with their daugher's life.
She was placed in Ridgefield Memorial and monitored closely
under a family friend's watchful eye. It was several weeks before
the doctor's realized why she wasn't getting better. She had
an iron deficiency in her blood that could only be cured by
a blood transfusion. After hearing about this, one of her best
friend's at the time, David Cox, stepped up and as bravely as
an 11 year old could, he said that he would do it. After which
she made a speedy recovery, although her parents are still very
watchful of their daughter, as well as her eating habits.
McKenzie's romantic life has been just as eventful as her life
on the mats. She's dated several of the school's popular crowd,
including Landon Carter back in 9th and, more recently last
year, Thadius Atkinson. However it was her relationship with
Tommy Silver, a newcomer to the area who was a Native American
from South Dakota. They had a brief, intense relationship, but
in the end he cheated on her and then moved back to South Dakota.
Because of this she no longer has much faith in the opposite
sex. McKenzie's a virgin, which to most guys means one of two
things: 1. She's a conquest, someone who just needs to be won
over or 2. A prude you shouldn't waste your time on. Ultimately
she just wants to meet someone who shares her values and beliefs,
her true soulmate.

she herself could never put into words.
