Regan Lee Pickwell
-Played by Jackie-
Nickname(s): Reg
Age: 18
Grade: Senior
Birthday: February 14, Valentine's
Day.
Appearance: The first thing a
person would notice about Regan is her hair - it's shockingly
rich red color is 100% natural - which is cut in many layers,
the longest just brushing her shoulders. Bangs are noticeable,
but are blended in with the rest of the style. Normally she
chooses to clip some of it back, in a half-up half-down style,
but her bangs are always framing her face. Her next most noticeable
feature would be her eyes, if you were to get close enough to
her that is. From far away, they look somewhat dark, with a
shiny blue tint. Though once you can see them clearly, they
reveal a different look. When asked what color her eyes are,
Regan simply replies, "Green" instead of saying they
are the deep emerald they really are.
After her hair and eyes, Regan is not overly attractive, at
least by her standards. She stands at a good 5'5", and
is in a healthy weight range for her age but still rather light
at 124 pounds. Though, she eats like a pig, so her metabolism
must be a wonder of nature. Her skin is almost constantly light
and fair because she finds no need in tanning. Something else
that should be noted about Regan are her fingers. They're not
inhumanly long, but they are longer than the average person's
fingers, and perfect for piano playing.
As for her style, well, she pulls from everywhere and everything,
mixing the styles together to form a somewhat unique look. Her
closet contains things from American Eagle and H&M, Hot
Topic, Salvation Army, Target, and even somewhat more costly
items from Macy's and Disel from her single trip to NYC. Regan
considers herself to be somewhat 'hip' in her attire; drawing
from the masses and putting her own spin on it. Probably her
favorite article or group of articles in her wardrobe would
be her scarves - she can work one into every outfit - which
at last count totalled fourteen different scarves. Now, all
of this moderately priced fashion goodness is grand, but at
home Regan is a different person. She enjoys her comfort and
wears pyjama bottoms and old tee shirts around the house, usually
matched with her favorite fluffy slippers.
Personality: Regan is a fairly
simple person when it comes to her personality. She's genuinely
nice to everyone, tends to spend a lot of time thinking about
the world and pondering existence and such, and she has an undying
love for the arts. Each of these aspects can be picked at and
if you were to do so completely then she'd be a pretty complex
person. As for being nice and friendly, she's like that around
everyone and anyone. She's a pretty sociable girl, a bit shy
at first but someone who will quickly warm up to you in any
social situation.
She does have a bit if a trust issue, mostly in the sense that
she trusts everyone, and can bear her soul to a complete stranger
if the whim ever struck her. It has caused some problems, including
those with her ex boyfriend Guy Greystone, but even after that,
she still can't help but trust those around her. This also creates
a problem of not having any real close friends, almost creating
an acquaintance with everyone instead of a real friendship with
some.
Her perceptive and curious nature probably stems from the way
she was raised, and she appreciates the ability to think in
new and contemporary ways. Regan would never be content with
being a simple-minded pretty girl, or a simple-minded anything
for that matter. She hopes to one day make a difference in the
world, not just stable it out like most people end up doing,
and she hopes to do so by writing or, better yet, playing piano.
For Regan, the instrument is merely an extension of herself,
her body, and she has mastered it as such. And her pieces are
produced almost involuntarily; she can sit at the piano and
a song will play in her head, and she will play it on the keys.
She approaches it like religion, her music is her proof of God,
and when she plays it is merely prayer. In this sense, she is
a very spiritual person, but she has never followed a practical,
standardized religion.
Family:
She was raised mainly by two people her father, and her 'Aunt'.
Her father Jameson Pickwell is a 43-year-old nurse at Ridgefield
Memorial Hospital, and part time writer. His life long close
friend Alexandra 'Allie' Swann (43-year-old) is a social worker
with an adoption agency in Seattle (and the reason for Jameson
adopting Regan), and is affectionately referred too as 'Aunty
Allie'. It was almost two years ago that his father finally
married a co-worker and anesthesiologist called Marina Giordano
(41 years) who he'd been working with for ten years, and dating
for four. The family have three dogs
currently (though the number varies as they sometimes breed),
Annie and Queenie who are sisters, and one of Queenie's puppies
which is Regan's dog Cushla.
History: Regan's adoptive
father never really thought much about being a father, nor ever
having children, but things didn't go that way. At the time
Regan was conceived, Jameson was a nurse by day, a wannabe
writer by night, who was so absent-minded that he often forgot
to pay his rent. The idea that a year later, he'd have a
daughter would have been enough to make him laugh, but his
closest friend saw otherwise. Alexandra 'Allie' Swann had known
Jameson since he was in elementary school, and one of the few
people that could understand and make sense of her close friend.
It was when she came visiting the hospital where he worked for
lunch that she saw first hand just what a brilliant father he
would be.
Jameson was hovering over the crib of a baby
girl whose mother had been killed in a car accident. Normally
this would have been just another patient but the baby's mother
came in as a Jane Doe, and the injured child was stuck in a
hospital in pain, and discomfort with no family. Jameson took
every spare moment he could to keep the little girl company and
hold her so she didn't feel so alone. After three days, the
young baby's relatives were located and she got to have her real
father by her side as her hospital stay continued. But it was in
that first few moments that Allie had seen him holding the baby
in his arms, talking to her to calm her that Allie realized his
father potential. With Allie working for an adoption agency, it
was less then a year later that she got to hold the camera as
Jameson held Regan in his arms for the first time, tears willing
in his eyes instantly when he was told 'I'd like you to meet
your daughter'.
Regan grew up in Useless Bay, Washington just
north of Seattle with her father, Allie quickly become 'Aunty
Allie' the female role model in her life whom she could rely on
when her dad forgot to pick her up from piano lessons, or
accidentally took her homework with him to work. Regan knows
little of her biological mother, only that she was a teenager
who wanted the best for both her and her unborn child, so
decided that for both of them adoption was the best route. Her
mother worked with an adoption agency, and after reviewing
profiles on applicants she chose that Jameson be the person to
adopt her baby in a closed adoption. For that reason she no want
or need to find her biological mother as she knows all she needs
to – her mother wanted the best for her which was in her mind to
be adopted by Jameson.
For the longest time it was always Regan and
her dad, though he started to date Marina whom Regan instantly
became close too. She was ten when they first dated, and after
four years of dating, on a whim the two got married while on
holiday. When they got back, Regan was shocked to see a ring on
each of their fingers, a smile on their faces and a sinister
smirk. All she could say was 'so typical of you two, couldn't
even tell your own daughter?' The family
grew not only by one person but two dogs Annie and Queenie, as
Marina's parents were breeders and Marina had taken to doing the
same, breeding from the two dogs.
During the summer, Jameson found a better
position at Ridgefield Memorial Hospital, and so the group moved
to the town. Regan was somewhat upset that she was forced to
abandon everything that she had known, her
friends and Aunt Allie, though was more easily able to settle
due to a new digital camera and computer to let her keep in
contact with everyone in Seattle. Not long after they settled
in, Queenie had a littler, the puppies being sold to local
families including Jimmy Daniels, and Regan being told she could
keep one if she wanted. Getting the pick of the litter, out of
the seven puppies (three male four female) Regan one of the
girls who she felt had the most personality, naming her Cushla.
At first being the new kid was rather hard for
Regan, and for the most part she kept to herself. But then she
met Guy. Regan thought Guy Greystone was her night in shining
armour and the two started dating. Regan couldn't believe she'd
met a guy who actually cooked dinner for her on their first date
and felt she'd landed a winner. He told her how his last
girlfriend cheated on him with his best friend, and she promised
that would never happen to them. But that night Guy cheated on
her with a girl he'd just met, and the duo slept together. Regan
has been moving on with her life, trying to make a good thing
out of the move to Ridgefield, though it's had it's problems.
Neighborhood : 1 Main Street, Northside. Upon moving to Ridgefield, the family moved into a home that they'd discovered online via a Real Estate Website. The two level, three bedroom two and a half bathroom country style home has a detached garage, large yard and more then enough space for it's three occupants. Though the house is a little cluttered, for the most part it's clean especially the lounge area where she often has her piano lessons.
Job: Regan works at the Mystic
Spiral and is available for hire as a piano tutor.
Vehicle : She has a pale blue
1990 Honda Integra that she brought off her dad when he got
a new car.
Best Friend(s): Since moving
to Richmond she's made a lot of acquaintances due to her open,
happy personality. She still talks and emails her old friends
in her hometown, but they aren't a serious part of her life.
Dating Status: Before moving
to Richmond she had no real relationships of notability. She
met a guy after school one day, Guy Greystone, and though he
was her night in shinning armour. Her vision though was shattered,
when he cheated on her and slept with another girl he'd just
met. Guy and Regan hadn't even been dating a week at that point,
and when she found out she shut him out of her life.
Social Status: She's a fairly
new student, and still trying to find her place in the social
hierarchy.

Other Information:
Regan is an extremely talented pianist, and has written many of
her own songs. Although writing is an important part of her
life, piano is her passion and motivation, and she sees herself
following it as a career. She also feels
that Jimmy completely mistreats his puppy Georgie, torturing the
poor thing by dressing it up in costumes and things like that.
It's of course in good fun, she knows Jimmy loves him, but it's
fun to torture Jimmy like Jimmy does Georgie to level the
playing field a little.
Likes: There are two things that Regan
loves with all her heart, the piano and scarves. She's played
the piano for as long as she could remember and feels that the
piano is an extension of herself. And when it comes to scarves,
she doesn't know where he obsession with them came from but
still she has it. She also likes two write whether it be music
or short stories, and loves emotional music, reading, poetry and
alternative rock.
Dislikes: Regan
doesn't like hardcore rock music, or any music that can cause
headaches. Mostly that means if it has a loud bass, is overly
loud or too hardcore she dislikes it. She puts up with it as
best she can, but still she doesn't listen to it if possible.
She doesn't like being traffic, especially being stuck in it,
and only found that out on her first and only trip to New York.
The other two things that she dislikes is Jello (due to is
suspicious wobbling) and ironically enough hospitals. People who
dress their animals up in costumes – like her mother and Jimmy
Daniels.
