Richard Fitzgerald Calhoun III

-Available by Sample Post Only-

Nickname(s): Richie

Age: 18

Grade: Senior

Birthday: July 24

Appearance: Standing at 6'1" with boyish good looks and a smile that just screams charm, Richard is rather a pretty boy who is obsessed with image. He won't be seen in anything but designer clothing and there's never a lock out of place in his tamed short blonde hair. He makes sure to always look presentable whether to impress the ladies, the school board, or even a random photographer taking a photo for the newspaper.

Some would say that Richard is concerned with his appearance as much as some of the females at Richmond. While he is a complete spoiled brat and can be an arrogant jerk, that's not all there is to him.  He does, strangely enough, have a heart.  And compassion, that he just may employ from time to time.  Truth be told, he really doesn't enjoy being under his father's thumb, but in his mind, he really can do nothing about it (well, not now).

Personality: Born into wealth, Richard can be a spoiled brat and will be sure to go to whatever length to get what he wants (even if it in means using his father's power and status). As of now, he has never failed. He also comes off rather charming to most (especially the ladies and those in high positions) but often struggles to talk to those who are below him on the social ladder.

He's known for throwing a party or two a year, only to invite the elite or those with the 'right look'. For a boy who has everything, he sometimes finds himself bored and will decide to play games with those around him for entertainment. He can be rather manipulative, calculating, and conniving at times when need.

Family:
Father
- Richard F. Calhoun II is a US Senator, representing the state of Michigan; politics have run in the family for almost two centuries, dating back to the 1800s when his ancestor, John C. Calhoun was vice president.
Mother - Barbara Jennings Calhoun is always supporting her husband as manager of his campaigns.

History: The Calhouns have had their hold in government (and influencing almost every aspect of society) dating back to the early 1800s. Generation after generation has inherited such power including Richard F. Calhoun II who moved to Ridgefield with his wife, Barbara, from a small suburb outside Detroit back in the early 1980s.

Six years later, their son and heir to the Calhoun empire was born. Spoiled rotten since birth and never really disciplined, Richard Fitzgerald Calhoun III is sure to follow in his father's footsteps and take the step into politics after he attends one of the Ivy League schools.

First though, he must make it out of Richmond High - a school his father insisted on sending him to (much to his dismay) in order to help his campaign and show that he's connected with the "small people."

Neighborhood: #20 Bellview Drive, Laurelurst - One of the largest and most lavish mansions in Ridgefield, the Calhouns wouldn't settle for anything less. The large mansion consists of a housekeeping team and several other workers, a garage filled with cars where young Richard is able to pick a car as though it were a clothing item, an indoor and outdoor pool and jacuzzi, a personal library, and many other luxuries that the Calhouns take for granted.

Job: None; he probably wouldn't have to ever work in his life if he really desired.

Vehicle: He doesn't drive but rather has a driver who escorts him everywhere in his car of choice.

Best Friend(s): He's close to those only with status, although there are some who despise him greatly, including some of the faculty where he has pulled the 'power' card in order to make a grade or get out of something. His closest friend is Adam Stuart, someone else who has quite a bit of power, just like him.

Dating Status: He has had a few relationships, none ever really lasting longer than a few months. Richard is a young man who once he sees a girl that he likes, he will go to great lengths to obtain her. Whoever he's dating, he makes sure she's a nice compliment on his arm as his father would settle for no less, especially with his opponents often breathing down their necks and just waiting for one of the Calhoun's to make a mistake. Currently, Richard is in need of finding a common girl - a girl beneath his status - to make his father's name look better in newspapers.  After all, it doesn't get much better than the younger Calhoun, showing that he doesn't care about social standings and money, by dating someone ordinary.

Social Status: Rich and Popular - with his father's position, he was born into this role and isn't afraid to use this power to his advantage.

Other Information: It's not a good idea to have a "bad" run-in with Richard as he is one who doesn't forget a grudge and will seek revenge utilizing his powerful status and connections. One of the few things that Richard truly enjoys in life is a good argument/debate - and winning it.  He's a master at it, and almost always, the argument ends with his win.

Likes: Getting what he wants, his selection of cars, girls, money, his family name, playing games with people, classical music (hard for him not to like anything with such elegance), arguing, and winning

Dislikes: being bored, people below him, some of the faculty at Richmond
